German designer Christian Fiebig has developed a computer program that can predict future or what a particular person will do next. By watching or monitoring the movements of a subject with a webcam the program will make an ‘educated guess,’ according to the Daily Mail. He created so to assist him with his welding.
“I designed a computer interface that actually makes suggestions to the designer while he’s working. Ideally it will enable the designer to create something nor him or the computer itself could have come up with,” he told the Fast Company.
The webcam records each movement, measures and takes notes of each piece of metal that was manipulated during Fiebg’s spot welding.
“We shouldn’t be afraid of using technology to enhance traditional handiwork,” he added.
