Facebook account holders around the globe no longer have the choice of using Facebook old profile page and Timeline, for the social giant is going to force new profile page Timeline on its 800 million users within 3 days, August 8.
Before making Timelline obligatory, Facebook will serve a preview of its Timeline, the new Facebook profile that displays life story through photos, friendships and personal milestones in chronological order, to the users who did not apply Timeline yet, according to the Telegraph.
“Millions of people curate stories of their lives on Facebook every day and have no way to share them once they fall off your profile page…we have been working on ‘timeline’ all year…it’s the story of your life and completely new way to express yourself,. Zuckerberg explained the thinking behind making Timeline mandatory.
“It has three pieces: all your stories, your apps and a new way to express who you are,” he added.
“I’m sorry but this is rubbish. I’m surprised Facebook hasn’t included a compulsory DNA profile section (default to public obviously),” said a Facebook user expressing dissatisfaction over the change.
