Google Wallet gets reformed

The Google Wallet app is being given some major changes to relax its entry into mobile payment.

The biggest leap has been made by moving into the cloud. Now instead of storing a user’s key card data on their phone, Google will store everything on its servers which Google claims speeds up card authentication and makes it easier for interested banks to adopt its payment system. The second reformation is that Google Wallet now finally supports Visa, Discover, and American Express cards.

These steps are seen as Google’s effort to settle down the problems of adoption and bringing in openness and security.
