Amazon is going to introduce five or six fresh mobile products soon, according to Demos Parneros, president of U.S. Retail for Staples Inc. Moreover, Amazon is working to provide a larger 10” Kindle tablet.
The office supply company that sells the Kindle Fire told Reuters that “Amazon is to introduce up to five or six tablet SKUs, or stock-keeping units.”
“It’s not clear yet whether these will all be distinctly different models; it wouldn’t surprise us if several of these SKUs were merely different storage capacities for the new Kindle Fire models,” said The Verge about coming Kindle tablets.
Both Bloomberg and The Wall Street journal said last week that Amazon was going to launch a smartphone that could go on sale by the end of 2012.
“One is that Amazon will offer both a seven and 10-inch Kindle Fire and that there will be multiple storage capacities offered – say 16, 32, and 64GB. That would cover six SKUs. Another is that Amazon is only going to offer up an updated 7-inch Kindle Fire, but that there will be a 3G-capable version. Again, roll in multiple storage capacities and you’ve got six SKUs,” reported Geek.com.
According to GottaBemobile the lineup of coming Kindle Fire would be
- 8GB Kindle Fire 2 – 7-inch
- 16GB Kindle Fire 2 – 7-inch
- 16GB Kindle Fire 2 – 10-inch
- 32GB Kindle Fire 2 – 10-inch
- 16GB Kindle Fire 2 – 10-inch 4G LTE
- 32GB Kindle Fire 2 – 10-inch 4G LTE
