VLC media player for Android released

VLC media player is now available on Android OS. The popular packet-based media player that is able to play the video content of some damaged or unfinished videos has been released for the Android OS officially.

VLC beta version named Neon written by Video LAN project will support all Android-based smartphones and tablets.

Interested users may download the highly portable free and open-source media player from Google Play.  The version of VLC media player will support the following devices: ARMv7a/Cortex-A8/NEON and ARMv7a/Cortex-A9, ARMv6/ARM11.
