Computer hacker group UGNazi has claimed accountability for outages at Twitter due to which the popular microblogging site remained inaccessible for around three hours.
“We just #TangoDown’d http://twitter.com for 40 minutes worldwide! #UGNazi,” said UGNazi, also known as the Underground Nazi Hacktivist Group.
“It wasn”t really difficult at all, I myself honestly thought Twitter would be more protected from a DDoS Attack, but I guess not,” said the UGNazi hacker named Cosmo.
A Twitter spokesperson, however, denied the sophisticated attack at the site rather he said the downtime was caused by ‘a cascaded bug in one of our infrastructure components. We’ll provide updated information soon.”‘
UGNazi posted some disturbing tweets on Twitter such as “We will be getting rid of the Jews once more.”
