Microsoft Corporation is going to launch a tablet to contender Apple’s iPad, said a report. The software giant has invited media to join the super-secret event that will be held on Monday at 3:30 p.m in Los Angeles saying “This will be a major Microsoft announcement — you will not want to miss it.”
Although Microsoft didn’t give any clue about what the giant was getting ready to announce at the coming event, an entertainment blog named The Wrap reported that “The company plans to introduce a Microsoft-branded-and-manufactured tablet at the event, marking a foray into a new hardware category that would put the company in direct competition with Apple.”
Microsoft’s tablet will run on Windows RT, said the blog.
