Microsoft has introduced So.cl, its own social networking site today.
So.cl (pronounced as ‘social’) has been developed by Microsoft’s Fuse Labs unit as a “research project… focused on the future of social experiences and learning.”
So.cl will make education easier for students think people close to the social site.
According to the American Multinational Corporation, So.cl was launched four months ago in conjunction with the University of Washington, New York University and Syracuse University.
Microsoft said in a statement: “We expect students to continue using products such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other existing social networks, as well as Bing, Google and other search tools.”
“We hope to encourage students to reimagine how our everyday communication and learning tools can be improved, by researching, learning and sharing in their everyday lives,” added the company.
Interested people can sign in So.cl using Facebook log-in details.
