South Korean multinational electronics company Samsung is going to establish a memory chip plant in China with an investment of $7 billion.

According to Xinhua, the plant that will be built in China’s northwestern city of Xian will manufacture more than 100,000 memory chips per month after it goes into operation at the end of coming year.

The company has chosen this stunning city of China as the new plant site because Xian has lucrative infrastructure, outstanding public service and abundant workers, said Samsung spokesperson.

Zhao Zhengyong, governor of Shaanxi province, thinks the proposed plant of Samsung will help boost economic development and create many jobs in the region.

“More than 1,200 people will work in the new plant. In addition, 17,000 people will offer different kinds of services for the business,” said Zhao Zhengyong.
