A 6 1/2 feet tall bronze statue of Apple founder Steve Jobs has been unveiled at a tech park in Budapest.

The statue was commissioned few months ago by Gabor Bojar, the founder of Graphisoft, a Hungarian software company that develops software for architects.

“Steve Jobs made technology available to the masses first over the desktop, then in our pockets,” said Gabor Bojar.

Graphisoft and Jobs had a long history that began in 1984 when Jobs came across some of Graphisoft’s software and was impressed to help the company out.

Bajor said in a statement,

“Apple’s support included cash and computers at a time when Graphisoft was a small company with limited resources, working within the economic and political confines of what was, at the time, communist Hungary.”

“Apple also introduced Graphisoft to its worldwide distribution network, which we rely upon to this day,” he added.
