Challenging Acer’s Ultrabook, ASUS has come out with its Zenbook which will make one’s current laptop look ‘obese’ by its standards.
According to ASUS, it can be referred to as the thinnest of its kind so far, beating out the 13mm Aspire S3 and even the 13-inch Apple MacBook Air.

Both models are encased in a lissom and sleek metal casing that is only 9 mm at its thickest point. The high point is that they are lightweight too, the UX21 weighs only 2.4 lbs while the UX31 is of 2.9 lbs. They look real trendy owing to the aluminum alloy bodies, glass trackpads and all-metal keyboards.
ASUS stated that the Zenbooks’ silver exterior panel “features a concentric circle design that refracts a halo of light which excites the senses.”
Now coming to the hard-core specifications, both of these Zenbooks are equipped with the latest second-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM,standard wireless capacity features,USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, a SATA III SSD and stereo speakers with Bang and Olufsen’s ICEPower technology.
